How to use the appointment reminder card
- Enter your business name, and if you like a tagline, phone, address and a short note such as a change policy.
- Set the heading, the number of appointment lines (1 to 3), whether to add a With line, an accent color and whether to print dashed cut guides.
- Check the card preview, which is shown at its real proportions, then choose the number of sheets of ten cards.
- Use Download PDF or Print at 100 percent so each card measures 3.5 by 2 inches.
How the sheet is laid out
A sheet holds ten identical cards in two columns and five rows on US Letter paper. Each card is 3.5 by 2 inches, the size of a standard business card, so the sheet fits common card stock and any paper cutter. The cards have your business name in the accent color, an optional tagline, a line and a heading such as Your next appointment, and then writing lines for the date, time and optionally who the visit is with.
The contact details and the note sit at the bottom of the card. The card has only so much height, so the page checks the settings: with three appointment lines, you will need to drop the tagline or the note, and the page tells you when something does not fit instead of squeezing the text.
Printing and cutting
The PDF has no logo or footer on the page, so the cards are clean once cut. Turn on the dashed cut guides to see where to cut, or turn them off for a plain sheet. Printers often have a margin that shifts the sheet slightly, so print one test page on plain paper and hold it against a business card before you print on heavier stock.
Cards are for a hand-written date and time, which keeps them reusable for any client. If you need a card with your name and contact details instead, the Business Card Maker makes a similar sheet. For labels and envelopes, the Label Sheet Maker and the Mailing Label and Envelope Printer cover the next step.
Privacy
Everything is made in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, and if you tick the box to remember your details they are saved in this browser only, with an untick that deletes them. The cards leave room for the client's name and details to be written by hand, so no personal information is ever entered into this page.
Assumptions and limits
- The sheet is ten cards, 3.5 by 2 inches each, on US Letter paper, in portrait orientation.
- Appointment lines are blank for the date and time to be written by hand.
- The business name is required. All other details are optional.
- Up to ten sheets can be made at a time. The accent colors match the Business Card Maker.
Frequently asked questions
What size is an appointment card?
This tool makes cards that are 3.5 by 2 inches, the same size as a standard business card, ten to a Letter-size sheet. That size fits a wallet and works with common card stock and cutters.
How many appointment cards fit on a page?
Ten, in two columns and five rows. Each sheet you ask for makes ten identical cards, and you can ask for up to ten sheets, which is a hundred cards.
Can I write the date and time by hand?
Yes, that is what the lines are for. Each appointment line has a place for the date and the time, and a third place to write who the visit is with if you leave that option on.
Does the PDF include a logo or footer?
No. The page has only the cards and the optional cut guides, so the printed sheet is clean. The document properties carry the title but nothing prints on the paper.
