Accessibility

Calculators should work for everyone.

Our goal

SumPanda aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We build with standard HTML so the site works with keyboards, screen readers, zoom and voice control.

What we do

  • Every input has a visible label and, where needed, help text connected to it.
  • Errors appear next to the field in text, not by color alone, and are listed in the result area with links to each field.
  • Results are announced to screen readers when they change.
  • Everything can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
  • Text meets AA contrast and can be enlarged. Layouts adapt from small phones to wide desktops without horizontal scrolling.
  • Touch targets are at least 44 pixels tall.
  • Motion is minimal and respects the "reduce motion" setting.

How we check

We run automated accessibility checks with axe on key pages, test keyboard navigation and review pages at multiple screen sizes. SumPanda has not been audited by an outside accessibility firm, and automated tools find only a portion of problems.

Known limitations

  • PDF files created by the calculators are simple printable records. They are not tagged for screen readers. The same data appears as an accessible table on the page, and you can download CSV.
  • Date and time fields use your browser's built-in pickers, so their look and behavior vary by browser and device.
  • Some guide tables are wide. They scroll sideways inside a labeled, keyboard-focusable region.

Report a barrier

If something on SumPanda is hard to use, please tell us through the contact page. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We will aim to respond within a few business days.
