Online To-Do List

Add tasks with a priority and a due date, sort them, and print or export the list without signing up.

Keep a private to-do list with priorities and due dates, sort it, print it with check boxes or export it to CSV. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account.

How to use the online to-do list

        1. Press Add task and type what needs doing. Pick a Priority (High, Medium, Low or None) and, if the task has a deadline, a Due date.
        2. Tick Done when a task is finished. Finished tasks stay on the list, greyed in the printout, so you can see what you got through.
        3. Choose Sort by to print in the order you typed, by due date (undated tasks last) or by priority (High first). Tick Print open tasks only for a clean sheet of what is left.
        4. Press Print or Download PDF for a checklist with a box beside each task, or Download CSV to open the list in a spreadsheet.
        5. Tick Remember my entries in this browser to keep the list between visits. It is stored only on this device.

        What each setting does

Priority is a label you set yourself: High, Medium, Low or None. Sorting by priority puts High first, then Medium, then Low, then tasks with no priority. Tasks with the same priority keep the order you typed them, so the sort never shuffles things unexpectedly.

Sorting by due date lists the earliest date first and puts tasks with no date at the end, again keeping your typed order for ties. Dates are shown in US format, month then day then year, and the CSV keeps the unambiguous year-month-day form so a spreadsheet reads it correctly. A task is counted as overdue when it is not done and its date is earlier than today on your device clock. A task due today is not overdue.

The on-screen list always keeps the order you typed, so you can reorder rows with Up and Down. The sort option only changes the printout and the PDF, which means you can keep editing in your own order and still hand someone a list sorted by deadline.

        Printing and exporting

The printed page is US Letter with a table of four columns: a check box, the task, the priority and the due date. Long task names wrap onto a second line rather than being cut off, rows never split across pages, and the header row repeats on every page. A list can hold up to 300 tasks.

The CSV file has the columns Task, Priority, Due date and Done, one row per task, in the order you typed. Text that begins with an equals sign, plus, minus or at sign is protected so a spreadsheet does not run it as a formula.

        Where your list is kept

There is no account and no server. The list lives in the page while it is open. If you tick Remember my entries, it is also written to localStorage in this browser, which means it comes back next time on the same device and browser, but not on your phone or another computer. Clearing site data, using a private window or switching browsers removes it, so export a CSV or print a copy of anything important.

Recurring tasks, reminders and sharing between people are not part of this tool. For a weekly rhythm, a printable weekly planner or a habit tracker fits better, and the Eisenhower matrix helps decide what to do first.

        Assumptions and limits

        • Priority levels and due dates are labels you choose. The tool does not judge importance, and it does not send reminders or notifications.
        • "Overdue" compares the due date with the date on your device clock. If your clock or time zone is wrong, the overdue count will be too.
        • Saved lists are stored in this browser only. They are not backed up and do not sync, so private windows, cleared site data or a different browser start with an empty list.
        • A list holds up to 300 tasks and each task up to 120 characters. Characters the built-in print font cannot draw, such as emoji, print as a question mark in the PDF.

        Frequently asked questions

        Is my to-do list private?

Yes. Tasks are handled entirely in your browser and are never sent to a server. If you choose to remember the list, it is stored in your own browser storage, and unticking the box deletes that copy.

        Why did my list disappear?

Lists are saved only when Remember is ticked, and only in that browser on that device. A private window, cleared site data or a different browser starts empty. Download a CSV if you need a copy that survives.

How are tasks with no due date sorted?

They go to the end when you sort by due date, in the order you typed them. Tasks that share a date also keep your typed order, so equal items never swap places.

Can I get my tasks into a spreadsheet?

Yes. Download CSV gives four columns: Task, Priority, Due date and Done. Open it in any spreadsheet program. Dates use the year-month-day form so they sort correctly.

Does it repeat tasks every week?

No. Recurring tasks are not included, so copy a finished task or keep a habit tracker for things you repeat daily. Each task here is a single item with an optional date.
