Reverse PDF Pages

Choose a PDF and get a copy with the last page first.

Your files stay on your device. They are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to SumPanda.

Each page is copied as it is, so text stays selectable and page sizes and rotation are kept. Bookmarks, links and form fields are not carried over to the new file. Passwords are never guessed or removed. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

How to use the reverse pdf pages

  1. Choose a PDF or drop it on the box. One file at a time, up to 25 MB and 500 pages.
  2. Tick Keep page 1 first if the first page is a cover that should stay in front.
  3. Check the line that shows the new page order.
  4. Press Reverse and download. The file is saved with -reversed added to its name.

When reversing helps

Scans made with a feeder that starts at the back of a stack come out in the wrong order, and so do documents printed in reverse. Reversing the file puts the last page first, so a stack scanned back to front reads correctly. It is also useful when a printer stacks pages face up and you want to print a file so that the pages end up in order.

If you only want to move a few pages, the organize PDF pages tool lets you reorder, rotate and delete pages by hand. If you want to number the pages after reversing, use add page numbers to PDF.

What stays the same

Each page is copied as it is into a new file, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. Page sizes and rotation are kept, so a landscape page stays landscape. Bookmarks, links between pages and form fields are not carried over, because they refer to the old page order.

The original file is never changed. If a PDF is protected with a password, the tool tells you instead of trying to open it, and it does not guess or remove passwords.

Privacy and limits

The PDF is read and written in your browser and is never uploaded. A file with one page cannot be reversed, and keeping the first page in place needs at least three pages. After reversing, check the result in your PDF viewer. To split the result afterward, use split PDF, and to join several files, use merge PDF.

Assumptions and limits

  • The file is a normal PDF without a password, under 25 MB and 500 pages.
  • Bookmarks, internal links, form fields and metadata are not carried into the new file.
  • Reversing means the last page becomes the first. Other orders, such as odd and even pages, need another tool.
  • The new file is written without compression changes, so its size is close to the original.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reverse the page order of a PDF?

Choose the PDF, optionally tick Keep page 1 first, and press Reverse and download. The last page becomes the first, and the new file is saved to your device.

Can I keep the cover page where it is?

Yes. Tick Keep page 1 first, and the other pages are reversed behind it. With 4 pages, the new order is 1, 4, 3, 2.

Does reversing reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images are not recompressed.

Why was my PDF refused?

It may have a password, be damaged, have only one page, or be larger than 25 MB or 500 pages. The message says which. Passwords are never removed.
