How to use the fantasy football points calculator
- Enter the stat line: passing, rushing and receiving yards, touchdowns, receptions, interceptions, fumbles lost and two point conversions.
- Open More options and set the points for each stat to match your league. The values shown are examples.
- Leave any stat you did not record blank or at 0.
- Read the total points, the points from each stat and the biggest source of points.
Formula
points for a stat = count x points for each
total = the sum of the points for all stats
example: 285 passing yards x 0.04 = 11.4 points
The page rounds only the display to two decimals. It does not round each stat, so leagues that round each stat may differ by a small amount.
A quarterback line
With 285 passing yards at 0.04, 2 passing touchdowns at 4, 1 interception at -2, 34 rushing yards at 0.1, 1 rushing touchdown at 6 and 1 fumble lost at -2, the points are 11.4 + 8 - 2 + 3.4 + 6 - 2 = 24.8. Passing yards are the biggest source.
A receiver with 8 receptions at half a point, 112 receiving yards at 0.1 and 1 touchdown at 6 scores 4 + 11.2 + 6 = 21.2 points.
Match your league settings
Every league sets its own scoring. Points per reception can be 0, one half or 1, passing touchdowns may score 4 or 6, and yardage may be scored per yard or in steps. Bonuses for long plays and for passing or rushing milestones are not included here. Enter the values your league uses, and add bonus points by adjusting a stat.
Checking a score
Hosting sites sometimes round stats or credit yardage differently. If your total does not match, compare the points for one stat at a time using the table. The most common difference is the points per reception or a bonus that this page does not know about.

Assumptions and limits
- The points for each stat are the settings you enter, not a standard.
- Bonus points and kicking or defense scoring are not included.
- The total is the exact sum, rounded only for display.
- Negative stats such as interceptions use a negative points value.
Frequently asked questions
How are fantasy football points calculated?
Multiply each stat by the points your league gives for it and add them up. 285 passing yards at 0.04 points a yard is 11.4 points.
How do I score a half point per reception league?
Set the points for receptions to 0.5 under More options. Eight receptions then add 4 points, and the yards and touchdowns add their own.
Why does my total differ from my league site?
Sites may round each stat or add bonuses for long plays and milestones. Check the points for one stat at a time against the table.
Can I score a defense or kicker?
Not in this version. The page covers passing, rushing and receiving stats and a few common extras such as fumbles and two point conversions.
