How to use the printable calendar maker
- Choose what to make: one month, twelve monthly pages, or the whole year on one page. Type the year, which is filled in with the current year, and pick the month if you chose one month.
- Choose whether the week starts on Sunday or Monday, the paper size (Letter or A4) and the orientation. Landscape suits monthly pages, and portrait suits a year on one page.
- Add a title such as a family or team name if you like, and tick the notes option to get ruled lines under each month.
- Press Create calendar and download. A preview of the first page appears so you can check it before printing at actual size.
October 2026
October 1, 2026 is a Thursday and the month has 31 days. With Sunday as the first day of the week, the first row has four empty cells and then 1, 2 and 3 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and the month fills five rows, ending with 25 to 31. With Monday first, the first row has three empty cells before Thursday, the month still fits five rows, and the last row is 26 to 31 followed by one empty cell.
February 2026 has 28 days and starts on a Sunday, so with Sunday first it fits exactly four rows. A year overview prints 365 day numbers in 2026, or 366 in a leap year such as 2028. On a Letter landscape page the 720 points between the margins are shared by seven columns, so each day column is about 102.9 points, or 1.43 inches, wide.
What the calendar contains
Each page has the month name and year, the names of the seven weekdays in your chosen order, and a grid of boxes with the day numbers in the upper left corner of each box. The grid has as many rows as the month needs, four, five or six, so the boxes are as tall as they can be. The year overview shows twelve small months with single letter weekday headings.
The calendar holds dates only. No holidays, moon phases or events are added, because those differ by country, religion and year, and you can write your own in the boxes. The weekday of every date follows the standard Gregorian calendar and is computed, not looked up.
Printing tips
Print at actual size or 100% so that the grid fills the sheet, and choose the same paper size you selected. If your printer cuts off the edges, the 0.5 inch margins leave room for most printers. Landscape pages hold more writing room in each box, while a notes area takes about a fifth of the page for lists and reminders.
For other planning pages, try the printable weekly planner. To find the weekday of any date use the day of the week calculator, to look up the week number use the week number calculator, and to track due dates use the bill calendar planner.
Assumptions and limits
- Years from 1900 to 2200 are supported and dates follow the Gregorian calendar throughout.
- The PDF uses the standard Helvetica font, so it prints without any font files, and your text is limited to Latin letters, numbers and common punctuation.
- Weeks are shown as Sunday to Saturday or Monday to Sunday. Other starting days are not offered.
- The default year and month come from your device clock when the page loads.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a printable calendar for a specific month?
Choose One month, type the year, pick the month, and press Create calendar. The PDF downloads at once and can be printed on Letter or A4 paper.
Can I print a whole year on one page?
Yes. Choose Whole year on a page for twelve small months on one sheet, or Twelve monthly pages for a full page per month with room to write.
Does the calendar include holidays?
No. It shows dates only, so it works for any country and any purpose. You can write holidays and events in the boxes yourself.
Is my title or anything else sent to a server?
No. The PDF is made in your browser and downloaded from there, so nothing you type leaves your device.
