How to use the class schedule maker
- Type your classes, one per line: the days, the time range, then the class name. Add the room and instructor after vertical bars, such as MWF 9:00-9:50 Biology 101 | Room 204 | Dr. Lee.
- Write days as letters, such as MWF or TTh, or as words such as Mon Wed. Times with no am or pm from 1 to 6 are read as afternoon.
- Set a title and term, and choose whether Saturday and Sunday columns are always shown or only when a class uses them.
- Check the weekly grid and the class list, fix any overlap warning, then download the PDF or print.
What you get
The first page is a landscape weekly timetable with a column for each day and a row for each hour, with every class drawn as a colored block that shows the name, room and times. The next page is a class list with the days, times, rooms and instructors in a table. Each class name keeps the same color all through the week.
Day letters
Schools often write days as letters. M is Monday, T is Tuesday, W is Wednesday, Th or R is Thursday, F is Friday, and S is Saturday. So TTh means Tuesday and Thursday and MWF means Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can also write Mon Wed Fri, Mon-Fri or weekdays.
Overlaps and limits
If two classes overlap on a day, they are drawn side by side and a note under the preview names the classes and days. Check them with your advisor or the registrar before you register. The tool supports up to 40 classes, and if the times run from early morning to late night the hour rows shrink to fit. For a work week with shifts and time blocks try the printable weekly planner, and to track a grade use the GPA calculator.
Assumptions and limits
- Classes repeat every week for the whole term, with no start or end dates.
- Times with am or pm are used as written. Without them, 24 hour times are accepted, and an hour from 1 to 6 is read as afternoon.
- Your list is stored in this browser only if you tick the box, and nothing is uploaded.
- The tool does not check your school's rules, room availability or prerequisites.
Frequently asked questions
How do I write class days like MWF or TTh?
Use the letters together with no spaces. M is Monday, T is Tuesday, W is Wednesday, Th or R is Thursday and F is Friday. The line MWF 9:00-9:50 Biology 101 is a class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
What happens when two classes overlap?
They are drawn side by side in the same day column, and a note names the classes and the days. That tells you to look for a different section or time.
Can I add labs and one day classes?
Yes. Add each as its own line with its own day and time, such as F 2:00-4:50 Chemistry Lab | Lab 2.
Can I print it on one page?
The weekly grid is one landscape page and the class list is on the next. Print only the first page if you want just the timetable.
