How to use the life milestone dates calculator
- Enter your date of birth.
- Enter the time of birth, if you know it. It decides the exact clock time of the hours and seconds milestones.
- Optionally enter a comparison date to mark each milestone as reached or ahead.
- Read the table of milestone dates, weekdays, clock times and ages. Download it as CSV.
Formula
milestone moment = birth moment + n days, weeks, hours or seconds
one day = 86,400 seconds, one week = 604,800 seconds, one hour = 3,600 seconds
age = whole years completed on the milestone date
Every day is counted as exactly 24 hours, so clock changes for daylight saving time and moves between time zones are ignored.

Ten thousand days after that morning is Saturday, September 30, 2017, at age 27. Twenty thousand days is Wednesday, February 15, 2045. One billion seconds, which is about 31.7 years, arrives on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:16.
The first 1,000 weeks end on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, and 100,000 hours on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 00:30. With a comparison date of October 12, 2026, eight milestones are reached, and the next is 2,000 weeks on Tuesday, September 12, 2028.
Why round numbers of time
Birthdays mark years, but years are an uneven unit. Counting in days, weeks, hours or seconds gives different round numbers to celebrate. Ten thousand days is a little under 27.4 years, and a billion seconds is about 31.7 years. The numbers are the same for everyone, which makes them fun to share.
The milestones you see here follow a fixed list, from 5,000 days to 3 billion seconds. They are meant for fun and planning an event, not for any legal or medical purpose.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the time matter?
A day has 24 hours, so the hour of birth shifts the exact moment of a milestone. For milestones counted in whole days or weeks the date does not change, but the clock time does.
How many days is a billion seconds?
It is 11,574.07 days, about 31.7 years. That is why the date of that milestone depends on the birth time.
What if I do not know my time of birth?
Use noon, 12:00, as a middle guess. The dates for days and weeks stay the same, and the date for seconds and hours could shift by at most half a day.
Does it work for someone born on February 29?
Yes. Milestones are counted in days, hours and seconds from the birth moment, so a leap day causes no problem.
