Guest List Manager and RSVP Counter

Keep a guest list and count RSVPs by people, not rows.

List your guests with the size of each party and their RSVP, and see how many people are attending, maybe, declined or still to reply. Print the list for the door or download it as a CSV file.

How to use the guest list manager and rsvp counter

        1. Add one row for each guest or party with a name, the party size, the RSVP, an optional table or group and a note.
        2. Update the RSVP as replies arrive: no reply yet, attending, maybe or declined.
        3. Read the counts of people invited, attending, maybe, declined and still to reply.
        4. Choose the order and columns, then print the list for the door, download a CSV file or copy the counts.

        Counting people, not rows

A row may be one person or a family, so the counts use the party size. The party size counts everyone in the row including the guest. With five example rows of 4, 2, 1, 2 and 3 people, there are 5 parties and 12 people invited. Of them 6 are attending, 1 is a maybe, 2 declined and 3 have not replied.

A party size of 0 is not allowed, because a row with nobody in it is not a guest. If a plus one is not confirmed, leave the party size at 1 and add a note. The maybe line also shows the largest headcount if every maybe turns up, which is attending plus maybe.

        Using the printed list

The printed list has a check box column for arrivals and can be sorted by name, RSVP status or table. Sorting by table is handy for a seating plan and sorting by name is handy at the door. The list prints in US Letter portrait and continues on more pages for long lists.

For event planning around the list, see the party food and drink calculator, the wedding budget calculator and the wedding day timeline generator.

        Your guests' details

Names and notes stay in your browser. The page does not upload them or email anyone. If you ask it to, the list is remembered on this device in local storage, and you can turn that off. The CSV file you download is plain data without any page branding.

        Assumptions and limits

        • Party size counts everyone in a row including the named guest.
        • Counts are by people, not by rows.
        • Up to 400 rows fit in one list.
        • RSVPs are entered by you. No invitations or reminders are sent.

        Frequently asked questions

How do I count RSVPs with plus ones?

Set the party size to the total number of people in that row. The counts add up the party sizes, so a guest with a plus one counts as 2.

What does the maybe count include?

It is the party sizes of rows marked maybe. The note under the counts also shows the headcount if all of them attend.

Can I sort the list by table?

Yes. Choose By table or group and guests without a table go last.

        Does this send invitations?

No. It keeps your list and counts and lets you print or download them. Nothing is sent to anyone.
